A Place of Encounters

In Waddeweitz, animals and humans meet—gently, curiously, eye to eye. Here, a colorful sanctuary becomes a space for connection: across species, ideas, and ways of life. Rooted in care, we live, work, and grow together—wildly and wisely.

Our Sanctuary

Here, goats nap in the shade of old oak trees. Chickens sunbathe and dust-bathe like queens. Horses graze, sheep chatter, and cats do exactly what they please.

Here, animals are valued for who they are — not what they produce or perform. We work with care, respect, and connection.

Our sanctuary is home to a beloved family of animals — rescued goats, chickens, a few bold, opinionated cats, and horses who’ve found a peaceful place to grow older with care.

Some came from hardship, others simply needed a safe haven for their golden years. Here, they’re met with kindness, respect, and — most importantly — choice.

We don’t see ourselves as owners or masters — we’re companions, listeners, co-workers and learners. Life here is shaped together, across species.

Sponsor a Soul, Support the Herd.

At Wildes Wir, every animal has a name, a story, and a reason they’re here. Some arrived with scars, some with stories too long for words — all of them are now part of our growing family. By becoming a sponsor, you help us feed, care for, and protect the lives we’ve committed to.
